  • Stay with Me

    Stay in my heart,
    stay in my life,
    stay for the rest of time,
    and never say goodbye.

    Stay, my friend;
    stay, my student;
    stay, my teacher;
    taunt me, but never leave me.

    Stay with me,
    stay with my memories,
    stay with my love,
    and never cry without me.

    Stay in the shadow,
    stay in the smile,
    stay in the unspoken —
    but never forget me.

    Stay happy with me,
    stay happier without me,
    stay forever in memories,
    and I wish you endless joy.

  • Have Been, You

    I have not seen the world, but I have been into its depths — with you;
    I have not been to the heights, but I have driven into a sea of joy — with you;
    I have not stayed awake from night to day, but with the giggles of you;
    I have been through, far and far — but the places hold smile and joy, with you.

  • Heart of Time

    Heart of time…

    Day upon day, and turning nights;
    every day goes by, one sight;
    here and there, belonging of mine —
    once, there was a heart of time…

    Keys of a piano, and melody of sounds;
    thunder of the sky, and broken apart;
    every time, every day, the mirror does not shine,
    left with the broken heart of time…

    Flying with the speed of the past,
    nothing lasts ever, where the race ends;
    this is not the end, nor the beginning —
    it lies in the anger of time…

    I bid my love to memories,
    immersed in the eyes of time;
    lost, but having conquered the world,
    living myself, in the heart of time.

  • तुम और तुम्हारी सी

    मंद-मंद हवा-सी बहती, बेफ़िक्र — एक ज़िद, एक जुनून-सी चलती;
    नशे से गहरी एक सोच की तरह, वक़्त की चोट से पुरानी एक याद-सी।

    सुबह की चादर में सोती, धीरे-धीरे गिरती बूँदें ओस की;
    रात की शबनम, और दिन में बुनती — जगमगाती, झिलमिल रंगों में बनती-बुझती।

    ठंड में ठिठुरती और सोती, एक साये में आती, खो जाती-सी;
    एक आस दिल में चुभती हुई-सी — तुम्हारी याद में चलती ज़िन्दगी।

    बस तुम, और तुम्हारी-सी…

    शब्दों में डूबती, सन्नाटे में छुपती-सी;
    शाम की दलदल-सी, उम्मीद के दामन में लिपटी।

    चाय के प्याले में खुलती, मीठी-सी एक सपने में खोती;
    एक तनहा रात-सी, आँखों में झूलती एक उम्मीद-सी।

    ज़िन्दगी से लड़ती-झगड़ती, यह वो एक दिन-सी;
    छुप-छुप के हँसती — तुम्हारी याद में चलती ज़िन्दगी।

    बस तुम, और तुम्हारी-सी…

    सफ़र से लंबी प्यार की, आँखों से छोटी बात की;
    गहरी साँसों में छुपती, लम्हों में भीगी यादों-सी।

    इधर-उधर चलती एक कहानी के पलटते पन्नों-सी;
    हँसी के चेहरे से हसीन — दुआ और दावा-सी।

    मैं और तुम में बुनती, एक याद तुम्हारी-सी;
    भीगी-भीगी पलकों से — तुम्हारी याद में चलती ज़िन्दगी।

    बस तुम, और तुम्हारी-सी… मेरी ज़िन्दगी।

  • You

    I am searching for my solace everywhere —
    in fields far away, in the sky below the blue,
    in the green near my heart, in memories above all;
    face to face, it is just you, in all…

    I am searching for my peace, every day —
    in the dark of day, on the dawn of the moon,
    in the rise of cold, within a rising tremor;
    and you, in every thought, by day and night…

    I am searching for my smile —
    in the cry of a child, in the company of you,
    in the breaking sky, in the joy of midnight’s crises;
    losing myself, second after second, in you…

    I am searching for the words to define you —
    in the love of you, in the smile of you,
    in the eyes of you, in the day of you;
    and in how much I love you…

  • Pastimes

    Toward there, and the way it possesses —
    spanning all my past and future,
    I walk behind a shadow of mine,
    and hope to shine one day…

    I see the end, and the start,
    having been through point to line;
    always so close to success —
    but does desire ever cease, this way?

    New hope, and old remembrance;
    an old suit, and a fake smile again;
    and I believe in yesterday,
    when expectation hangs of its own…

    Love was easy, and breath;
    but with its going, I was lost —
    in today’s end, today’s success,
    walking alone behind myself, today.

  • Forever Smile

    She looks around, and flies away;
    out of her wings, she brings her memories;
    through a day and a night, she murmurs —
    like a walking shadow, she lives each day…

  • This Life Again

    Far from the shadow of yesterday,
    a haze of a new day, and a dawn of fate;
    with the beautiful memories of you,
    I wonder at this life again.

    Beneath the pillow of dreams,
    under the hope of an endless sky,
    I gaze through the eyes of the present —
    I welcome this life again.

    Thorns of desire, and the pale;
    flowers of love, and of hate;
    and with time, you smile —
    I love this life again.

    Endless is my way, my journey;
    speechless, the thoughts of mine;
    and with one glance of yours one day,
    I contemplate this life again…

    Into the surrey of the day,
    you welcomed not my silence;
    with the end, it starts again and again —
    I am lost in this life again…

    Secretly, in the span of time,
    the worthless seems so worth again;
    and with the final words of the way,
    and with you, I wonder at this life again…

  • Start to End

    I am walking down memory lane,
    the one I met first, but never last;
    still deep in every lonely day,
    lost deeper, and remembering all the way…

    Retrospective, travelling this time —
    the one in my worst, and forever;
    friend, or beloved — but the one;
    and whether I lost or won, still the last one…

    Drifting through one more memory,
    I wanted, but never the way;
    and I wondered, long, for one,
    and ended up with a lost beloved…

    All the way through this journey,
    one has been there, all the way;
    once a friend, a beloved, a friend again —
    but the start, and the end, with me.

  • The Moment of Love

    Once in a while in the day,
    filled with love and life,
    yes — it came to start,
    with the end of the line of desire,
    but the long way to another time.

    I guess it wasn’t the right choice;
    I wondered through dusk and dawn,
    with eyes filled with hope and love,
    but the dew of a shack,
    and the shame of neglect,
    answered only the shadow of time.

    And yet the end came with a “yes,”
    and I wondered all the dark night;
    but the answer came with the truth of none,
    and again I wondered, of hate and love —
    the beautiful moments of life…

    not with the one I got,
    but with the one I lost long ago,
    in that one moment of love.
